After all the years that have gone by, the smile in her face was still the same. He was still enthralled by the pretty face that greets him everyday – in his dreams. One thing he realizes is that he could never be with her whatever he does. Walking hand in hand with her was nearly impossible.
Knowing that hurtful fact, he still loves her – up to now.
Yes, their high school days may be over, but still the events were fresh in his mind. In the four long years that he has existed in that school, he never expected to fall. In love, that is.
He’d always see her in uniform, gracefully walking along the hallway, which later seemed to be a routine for him. His stay in the campus everyday was never the same again. Coming to school had another purpose, and that was to see her that way. He considers himself a stalker, but he’s happy that way. At least he’d have a glance of her from a distance, contenting himself with a somewhat blurred image of her beauty.
There came a time though, that his ‘stalking’ days came to a close. Someone noticed his act. Their classmates then started teasing them. Every move he makes was watched, criticized. Pictures of him walking alongside her were taken by their classmates in swift fashion: a stolen shot. Soon enough, their issue started to spread around the campus. He could do nothing about it, anyway. He just hopes he survives the remaining years of stay in the then cursed school. Fortunately, he did.
Until one day, he saw her with someone else. The happiness in her face was brighter than what he usually sees, something he wasn’t able to do back when they were still together. The two of them held hands amidst the coldness of the streets, taking pictures with smiles on their faces. Suddenly, he felt something from within. It seemed like a dagger struck him straight to his heart. Though it was only in his thoughts, it was so strong that it almost killed him for real.
It was picture perfect. His stolen shot was nothing compared to it.
