Wordplay

Ah, it’s the December bug (c/o Dan Hellbound) attacking almost every single blogger around. As the name suggests, it is a virus. A virus which attacks obviously during December, draining the writer out of everyone’s brain. All of a sudden, your thought bubble shuts down. Nothing comes into your mind, as if it was empty even before you think about it. The virus has already disrupted the way your neurons and grey matter works. The space for that 1.3 kilogram thing is now rendered useless. Nothing but air.

Now what? Is my blog going to be stagnant as well?

It’s not. Actually, I should be taking this opportunity to patch things up. Academics run through my mind as I type this blast-dratted entry, but I can’t seem to have the drive to work. I have three very important things to do, and for the sake of reminding myself, allow me to list them here.

First is that Adult Developmental Fieldwork for Middle Adulthood. Sure, I’ve done the one for Young Adulthood a few weeks ago, and I was able to finish it on time. Another problem is the Teaching Learning Activity for an Adolescent. Teaching a kid is not as easy as you think, hey. Last one is about my Autobiography: fairly easy compared to the other two (really?). Sure there’s much in line but come on, how can I do these when I am preoccupied with the temptation of feeling the softness of my bed until noon?

I guess I’ll sit here and do nothing until Christmas, perhaps New Year? passes me by. Like what my favorite quote as of now states (I have to thank Leslie Nielsen for this one):

Doing nothing is very hard to do – you never know when you’re finished.

– Leslie Nielsen

What should I do next? Well anyway, before I end this wordplay, I would just like to greet whoever you are reading this; may you have a merry christmas.

[Karla, I’ll do your tag next time. Ü]

With both boredom and all of the things we can do during the holidays, there’s definitely this “December bug” in the blogosphere. It’s not as bad as June bug though [since definitely all bloggers are on vacation, right?]. But there are some who can make blog posts out of Christmas activities or even boredom. LOL.

Happy holidays, bro! Wishing you a Merry Christmas!

Well, in my case, it was the infamous November Bug that attacked me. It drained my mind so much. All of my creative juices were spilled on the floor. All writers experience such lapses… just give it a few days… or weeks. XD

    Happy Christmas

just give your brain some rest, and the ideas will come back.
    merry christmas, by the way.

He simply stares blankly at space whenever he thinks of a new blog entry, so do not dare ask him how he came up with them anymore. (more..)
